This track started out all acoustic guitar – kind of the roots of Lyle’s music history (really everything on the album except unseen started that way).

He enlisted high school friend Jonah Sorrentino aka the one and only KJ-52 for his super hip-hop vibe and lyrical flow and KJ does not disappoint with a catchy and worshipful 3rd verse.

He also recruited some major talent from a band called the Manifolds – who you really need to listen to – with vocals from Kelly Lauth and the recording skills of her very talented husband Kevin. They took Lyle’s ‘OK’ chorus/hook and made it beautiful and meditative.

The song seems like it was built for 2020: A call to be quick to listen, slow to speak. Big on love, and short on anger. Everyone has a platform now; add that to super strong opinions and a dash of mob rule and you get a lot of hate and dismissal and very little listening and empathy. Are we listening?
